Coldplay announces new album 'Ghost Stories'

LONDON, March 3 (UPI) -- British band Coldplay announced the release date for their upcoming album, Ghost Stories, on their website over the weekend.

The band's sixth studio record will hit physical and virtual shelves on May 19, 2014. The announcement comes a weeks after Coldplay randomly released a video for their latest single "Midnight."

News about the new album came alongside another single from the record dubbed, "Magic."

Ghost Stories includes nine singles and three bonus tracks that will be available for download exclusively from Target at target.com/coldplay.
