March 2 (UPI) -- Things got a little heated Saturday night between rapper 50 Cent and former record executive Steve Stoute at Madison Square Garden for the New York Knicks game.

The two crossed paths and had what appeared to be an unfriendly conversation at the arena, Vibe reported.

The rivalry between the two began in 2000 when 50 Cent was dropped from Sony/Columbia Records after he was shot several times.

Stoute reignited the flames recently during two radio interviews for his new docu-series, "Tanning of America."

"50 hasn’t had a hit in a really long time," he said. "He has not made anything musically that has changed anything in a very really long time. I feel like he’s always gearing up for something that never happens."

In another interview, he said 50 Cent was never grateful for participation in 50 Cent's collaboration with Reebok.

"50 Cent never thanked me for that. The guy made so much money off of that, and the guy never thanked me," Stoute said. "He walks around and says he can't stand me. I don't think he can stand anybody. I don't know who he likes, but he definitely doesn't like me. I gave him his first deal, gave him the sneaker deal. I don't know. He just don't like me."
