Cowell embroiled in pregnant girlfriend's divorce

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 3 (UPI) -- New York socialite Lauren Silverman, pregnant with Simon Cowell's baby, is embroiled in a child custody fight with husband Andrew Silverman, TMZ reported.

As part of their divorce proceedings, Andrew Silverman, a one-time friend of Cowell's, is fighting for primary custody of the 7-year-old son he has with Lauren Silverman, saying she's a bad parent and spends too much time away from the child so she can hang out with celebrities, sources told TMZ.

The sources said Andrew Silverman was shocked to see a photograph of his wife and Cowell kissing in August 2012 on a boat Andrew Silverman chartered while the couple was still together.

Cowell's ex-fiancee, Mezhgan Hussainy, was also shocked to hear of the "X Factor" judge's affair with Lauren Silverman and fears he may have been seeing her while he and Hussainy were still engaged, the Daily Mirror reported Friday.

The engagement between Cowell and Hussainy was called off in April 2012, but after seeing the photo of Cowell and Lauren Silverman kissing, Hussainy thinks she may have been cheated on, a source told the Daily Mirror.

"Mish [Hussainy] will never quiz Simon ­aggressively because he has always looked after her so well as he does with all of his girlfriends. But she is still pretty gutted and angry about it all. She can't believe this affair and the baby and has been asking friends if they think he cheated on her with Lauren," the source said.
