Michael Jackson's son Prince Jackson was 12 when his father died four years ago. Prince, now 16, is set to tell a jury Wednesday about the last days of his father's life.
The Jackson family went to court Monday for the pop star's wrongful death lawsuit. There, attorneys for the Jacksons said that Prince would be the next witness after a doctor who is an expert in medical conflicts of interest finishes his testimony Tuesday, the four year anniversary of Michael Jackson's death.
Michael Jackson's children, Prince, Paris and Blanket Jackson, and his mother Katherine Jackson, are suing AEG Live for negligently hiring, retaining or supervising Dr. Conrad Murray.
Murray was convicted of involuntary manslaughter in Jackson's death. Murray, they say, was pressured to get Jackson to rehearsal but did not provide appropriate care to keep him healthy.
Instead, Murray told police he used the surgical anesthetic propofol to put Jackson to sleep, treating his insomnia. An overdose of the drug killed Jackson, the coroner ruled.
Lawyers for AEG Live say that Jackson chose the doctor and was responsible for his own medical decisions, as the producer's executives had no knowledge of the risky treatment.
