Singer and actress Jennifer Lopez was honored with the 2,500th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in Los Angeles Thursday.
“In 1994, Sophia Loren became the recipient of the 2,000th star on the Walk of Fame,” Ana Martinez, producer of the Walk of Fame ceremonies, said in a press release. “This ceremony marks the 2,500th star on our famous Walk and Jennifer Lopez was the obvious choice!”
Some of the reasons why "Jenny from the Block" was chosen by the Hollywood Chamber include Lopez's box-office hits, musical succes and her role as executive producer of "The Fosters."
