Kanye West's highly anticipated sixth solo album, due out Tuesday, has already been preempted by enigmatic tweets, star-studded listening parties and grandiose building projections. Not to mention the 36-year-old rapper's amusingly egomaniacal interview with the New York Times, in which he compared himself to Steve Jobs and Michael Jordan and declared "I am the nucleus."

On his website, West has also posted a video teaser for the new album, featuring vocals for "I Am A God" and the occasional comment from legendary record producer Rick Rubin.

West told the Times that he hired Rubin to teach him about music "minimalism," and said he needed the man to help him win Album of the Year.

I’m still just a kid learning about minimalism, and he’s a master of it. It’s just really such a blessing, to be able to work with him. I want to say that after working with Rick, it humbled me to realize why I hadn’t — even though I produced “Watch the Throne”; even though I produced “Dark Fantasy” — why I hadn’t won Album of the Year yet.
