Judge orders investigation into welfare of Michael Jackson's daughter

LOS ANGELES, June 8 (UPI) -- A Los Angeles judge has ordered an investigation into the welfare of Paris Jackson, the 15-year-old daughter of Michael Jackson, following her suicide attempt.

Paris Jackson was hospitalized Wednesday after she slit her wrists with a kitchen knife and swallowed about 20 ibuprofen pills, People reported.

Superior Court Judge Mitchell L. Beckloff ordered an investigation Thursday into her "health, education and welfare."

Beckloff said his order was made in response to "recent media reports concerning her welfare."
