KIRK DOUGLAS: Film star Kirk Douglas and his wife, Anne, have donated $20 million to Hollywood's Motion Picture & Television Fund, MPTF chairman Jeffrey Katzenberg said.

MPTF provides financial assistance and services for seniors who worked in the entertainment industry and those who care for them.

"When it comes to philanthropy, there is no one who I have admired more or learned more from than Kirk Douglas and so to be able to make this announcement today with Anne and Kirk is such a great privilege for me. MPTF has had no greater friends than the two of them," Katzenberg said in a statement Monday.

"When Anne and I were deciding how much to give to MPTF this year, we looked again at the wide range of services the fund provides. Then we doubled our pledge! Of course, my very persuasive friend Jeffrey Katzenberg gave us lots of encouragement. We will expand Harry's Haven, our Alzheimer's unit, with a portion of the new donation. And I'm sure the board will use the rest where it is most needed," Douglas said. "You know, I believe that giving to others is selfish, because the giver gets so much pleasure from it. I hope Anne and I inspire many more selfish acts of this kind, especially from the younger generation of entertainment professionals."

"In addition to the millions Kirk has given and raised over the years for Harry's Haven on the MPTF campus, this new commitment will sustain our dementia care unit in the years ahead. What a wonderful way for the Douglas family to celebrate the spirit of giving back and set an example for others in the entertainment industry," said Bob Beitcher, MPTF president and chief executive officer.

PETER FRAMPTON: British musician Peter Frampton said on Twitter his back and neck hurt after his car was hit by another vehicle on a Southern California freeway Tuesday.

"Texting woman driver just ran into back of me while I was stationary in traffic 101 freeway. Can u say whiplash?" Frampton tweeted.

"People put the phones down!" he said. "Back and neck not good. Going to ER after my flight today."

It was unclear whether the other driver was cited for her alleged role in the collision.

Frampton, 62, is scheduled to perform Friday in Otsego, Minn., People.com said.

STEVE HARVEY: Author and actor Steve Harvey says he will perform his final stand-up comedy show Thursday at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Harvey's 2-hour farewell show will air live on Pay-Per-View telecast available on cable systems around the United States.

After the live program, fans will still be able to access the special via cable PPV for several months and also on Video On Demand, beginning Friday.

"The road to this final show has been an amazing journey doing stand-up for the past 27 years, and I can't thank fans enough after reflecting on all those years on stage, and the unforgettable moments and jokes we've shared," Harvey said in a statement. "It's been a wild ride over these years on stage, radio, TV and more, and taking the stage for my final show, I will have a special blowout performance in store for everyone in Las Vegas and watching at home that will be bigger than any show I've done so far."

Harvey is the host of radio's "The Steve Harvey Morning Show" and is the best-selling author of "Think Like a Man." His relationship guide was adapted as a hit film set to premiere Aug. 28 on cable's Movies On Demand. He also is host of the game show "Family Feud" and upcoming new daytime program "Steve Harvey."

EMMA WATSON: British actress Emma Watson shot down rumors claiming she is in talks to play Anastasia in the film adaptation of the sexy best-seller "Fifty Shades of Grey."

Watson, 22, grew up starring in the Harry Potter movie franchise and was recently seen in the Oscar-nominated film "My Week with Marilyn."

Asked about Internet buzz saying she may star in a movie based on "Fifty Shades of Grey," Watson told EW.com: "I haven't read the book, I haven't read a script, nothing.

"There are so many movies you become attached to when I've literally never even received a phone call. It was the same way with 'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo' -- I never even saw a script," she said, adding some friends and family members asked her about "Grey" after dozens of reports appeared online. "The thing is I'm not going to go out there every time someone attaches me to a film to say no or release a statement."

E.L. James, the author of "Fifty Shades of Grey," has described her erotic novel as a love story with "quite a lot of sex in it."
