SHERMAN HEMSLEY: The El Paso Medical Examiner's Office in Texas says actor Sherman Hemsley died of natural causes and no autopsy will be conducted.

The star of the classic sitcoms "The Jeffersons" and "Amen" died Tuesday at his home in Texas. He was 74.

E! News said Wednesday Hemsley's death has been classified as natural based on his medical history. However, specifically what type of health problems he suffered has not been publicly disclosed.


THE JACKSON FAMILY: A Los Angeles judge has appointed Tito Jackson's son T.J. temporary guardian of the late Michael Jackson's three minor children, TMZ reported.

Tito was Michael's older brother.

Their 82-year-old mother, Katherine, has been raising Michael's two sons and daughter in California since the pop icon died in 2009.

However, the matriarch has been staying with other family members in Arizona for more than a week and relatives are offering conflicting accounts regarding her health and whether or not she has been in touch with Michael's children.

Also unclear is whether Katherine Jackson wants to be in Arizona or is being held against her will by her children -- Randy, Janet and Jermaine and Rebbie -- who want her to get rid of the executors of Michael's estate, TMZ said.

Judge Mitch Beckloff temporarily stripped Katherine of her guardianship of Michael's children Wednesday and advised T.J. and his lawyer, Charles Shultz, to seek permanent guardianship of the late music legend's children.


KRISTEN STEWART: U.S. actress Kristen Stewart publicly apologized for cheating on her boyfriend, Robert Pattinson, with the married director of "Snow White and the Huntsman."

The longtime couple are the stars of the romantic "Twilight" vampire film franchise and have been dating for several years.

Several media outlets reported Tuesday Stewart, 22, recently had a brief fling with director Rupert Sanders, who is 41, married and the father of two children.

TMZ said Stewart publicly confirmed the affair Wednesday and apologized to Pattinson, 26.

"I'm deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment I've caused to those close to me and everyone this has affected," the actress said. "This momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I'm so sorry."

Sanders issued a separate statement to People.com Wednesday.

"I am utterly distraught about the pain I have caused my family," said Sanders, who is married to actress-model Liberty Ross. "My beautiful wife and heavenly children are all I have in this world. I love them with all my heart. I am praying that we can get through this together."


LENA HEADEY: British actress Lena Headey has filed for divorce from musician Peter Loughran in Los Angeles Superior County Court, records show.

People.com reported Wednesday Headey, in papers filed July 20, cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the breakup of the marriage.

She and Loughran married in May 2007 and separated last year, the celebrity news Web site said. They have a 2-year-old son together.

Headey is one of the stars of TV's "Game of Thrones."
