Gibb, 62, awoke from a days-long coma during the weekend.

His wife, Dwina Murphy-Gibb, told ITV News Tuesday her husband was "really happy" and "just wants to get out" of The London Clinic and go home.

"They gave him an under 10 percent survival chance and he has beaten the odds," Gibb's son, Robin-John, said. "He really is something else."

The BBC said Gibb's family, including his son, Spencer, and daughter Melissa, kept a bedside vigil, talking to and playing music for the ailing former Bee Gees member.

Robin-John told ITV two days before his father came out of the coma "they said they had thrown the kitchen sink at him, that it was time to make plans because he was in God's hands."

The elder Gibb's physician, Dr. Andrew Thillainayagam, said in a statement posted on the musician's Web site Monday, "The road ahead for Robin remains uncertain but it is a privilege to look after such an extraordinary human being."

GLADYS KNIGHT: Motown icon Gladys Knight became the latest celebrity booted off of "Dancing with the Stars" in Los Angeles Tuesday.

"I am so amazed at this journey," Knight, 67, said upon learning her fate. "It's been absolutely extraordinary. I learned so many things, found so many friends and family. I'm just overjoyed."

Her professional dance partner was Tristan MacManus.

Still in the running for the coveted mirror-ball trophy, along with their partners, are actress Melissa Gilbert, actor Jaleel White, football player Donald Driver, "Extra" host Maria Menounos, Disney Channel star Roshon Fegan, actor-model William Levy and singer Katherine Jenkins.

LINDSAY LOHAN: Lindsay Lohan's publicist says Rosie O'Donnell should focus on her own career instead of bad-mouthing the younger U.S. actress' attempt at a comeback.

Lohan, 26, is preparing to play late screen icon Elizabeth Taylor in an upcoming Lifetime movie. It will be her first lead role in years as her career was sidelined because of her substance-abuse issues and legal woes.

O'Donnell, whose OWN talk show was recently canceled after only a few months because of low ratings, discussed Lohan's casting as Taylor on Monday's edition of the "Today" show, E! News reported.

"I feel very sorry for her," O'Donnell said of Lohan. "I think she needs a lot of help. She needs a lot of time away."

Asked by interviewer Matt Lauer if she approves of the casting decision, E! said O'Donnell replied, "No.

"Because she's had a lot of trouble doing every single movie, including ['Saturday Night Live']. She was out and not at rehearsal and I think she's not in a place to work," O'Donnell said. "I don't think she's right for the role, and I don't think she's capable at this point of doing what's needed to portray that character. I think the interest level in her has waned significantly."

Lohan's publicist swiftly responded to the barbs, telling E! News exclusively, "I think Rosie should focus on her own career and stop worrying about everyone else's."
