NEW YORK, Feb. 7 (UPI) -- The Off-Broadway production of "Love, Loss, and What I Wore" is to close next month after more than 1,000 performances, producer Daryl Roth said Tuesday.

Penned by Nora and Delia Ephron, the show will play for the last time March 25 after 2 1/2 years and 1,013 performances.

"Being able to share the intimate collection of stories in 'Love, Loss, and What I Wore' with audiences all over the world, and see it find its place in the cultural landscape, has been incredibly fulfilling," Roth said in a statement. "I am very proud of how many women this production has touched -- both on stage and off. We have had 32 rotating casts, and 120 actresses have participated during our New York run. The emotional resonance and personal connection people have to this show has been overwhelming."

Directed by Karen Carpenter and based on the best-selling book by Ilene Beckerman, the play opened at the Westside Theatre Oct. 1, 2009.
