BOX OFFICE TAKE OF 2011: Hollywood's Paramount Pictures says it had the biggest box-office gross in 2011, earning $5.17 billion in receipts worldwide.

The studio reported it released 16 new movies domestically last year and placed first in the North American market share with $1.96 billion, while amassing record grosses at the international box office with $3.21 billion.

"This achievement reflects the combined efforts of our entire team across the globe and the careful process by which we select the projects and partners we believe in," Paramount Pictures Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Brad Grey said in a statement Monday. "We produce pictures that aspire to entertain audiences around the world, while at the same time we have sought to find innovative ways to reach movie-goers in this changing entertainment environment."

Among Paramount's 2011 releases were "True Grit," "No Strings Attached," "Justin Bieber: Never Say Never," "Rango," "Thor," "Kung Fu Panda 2," "Super 8," "Transformers: Dark of the Moon," "Captain America: The First Avenger," "Footloose," "Paranormal Activity 3," "Puss in Boots," "Like Crazy," "Hugo," "Young Adult," "Mission: Impossible -- Ghost Protocol" and "Tintin."

ARETHA FRANKLIN: Soul music icon Aretha Franklin, 69, says she plans to marry William Wilkerson this summer, possibly aboard a yacht in Miami Beach.

"We're looking at June or July for our date and no, I'm not pregnant, LOL!" Franklin said in a statement issued to Monday.

"Ms. Franklin is considering Donna Karan, Valentino and the queen of wedding dresses, Vera Wang, to design her gown," her publicist said.

No other details regarding the couple's engagement or how long they have been together were immediately reported.

This will be the third marriage for Franklin. She has four children from previous relationships.

BRANDI GLANVILLE: Mixed Martial Arts manager Darin Harvey says he plans to have his weekend marriage to "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star Brandi Glanville annulled.

Glanville is a former model whose ex-husband, actor Eddie Cibrian, left her in 2009 for married country music star LeAnn Rimes. After divorcing their respective spouses, Cibrian and Rimes married last April.

Glanville announced via Twitter Sunday she had tied the knot with Harvey in Las Vegas, reported.

"I'm married again ...," she said, describing Harvey as her "best friend" and proclaiming herself an "official housewife, for reals."

However, Harvey dismissed the wedding as "a drunken ... thing" in his own Twitter posting Sunday.

"I had a crazy Vegas moment," said he wrote. "Getting annulled tomorrow."

BEST, WORST DRESSED OF 2011: Snooki, Julianne Moore and Christina Aguilera were among the worst-dressed celebrities of 2011, American fashion critic Roger Stone has declared.

Stone posted his fifth annual Best and Worst Dressed lists on his STONEzone Web site Monday.

"For nearly 50 years Mr. Blackwell of Hollywood sat as an arbiter of fashion by publishing a yearly list of the 10 Best and Worst Dressed People in the Demi-monde," Stone noted in a news release, adding he revived this "hallowed tradition" four years ago and now "vigilantly watches" the world of entertainment, sports, politics, academia, art and fashion to determine who has style and who doesn't.

Independent filmmaker Michael Moore was high on Stone's list of the Worst Dressed Men of 2011.

Also mentioned were TV personalities Larry King and Simon Cowell, wrestler-actor-politician Jesse Ventura, and U.S. Sen. Chuck Schumer of New York.

Topping the Best Dressed Men's list is actor Joseph Gordon Levitt. Making the roster as well are Rolling Stones drummer Charlie Watts, CNBC talk show host Larry Kudlow, businessman Gordon Woodrow, Britain's Prince Philip, fashion designer Alan Flusser, actor Johnny Depp, lawyer Jacob Stein, soccer star David Beckham, NBC "Dateline" reporter Josh Mankiewicz and former U.S. President Bill Clinton.

Actress Natalie Portman headed up the Best Dressed Women's list.

Also making the grade were British Prince William's sister-in-law, Pippa Middleton, actresses Jennifer Aniston, Blake Lively, Sophia Loren, Eva Mendez, Sofia Vergara and Emma Watson, French first lady Carla Bruni and model Carly Foulkes, Stone said.

Blackwell, a renowned fashion designer and critic, died in 2008 at age 86.
