Jay-Z's 'Occupy' shirts pulled

NEW YORK, Nov. 12 (UPI) -- "Occupy All Streets" T-shirts advertized by Jay-Z's clothing brand disappeared from the company's Web site after reports the items would not support protesters.

A spokeswoman for the U.S. hip-hop mogul's clothing brand, Rocawear, said Friday proceeds of his "Occupy All Streets" T-shirts would not go to help those in need.

By Saturday, all "Occupy" items had disappeared from Rocawear's Web site, The Wall Street Journal reported.

The New York Daily News said Jay-Z wore a shirt with the play on words for "Occupy Wall Street" at one of his Manhattan concerts this week.

"At this time, we have not made an official commitment to monetarily support the movement," a Rocawear spokeswoman said in a statement issued to Gawker.com Friday.

A Rocawear representative did not immediately respond to a request for comment, the Journal said.
