TAMPA, Fla., Oct. 30 (UPI) -- Actress Lindsay Lohan's father was denied bail by a Florida judge for allegedly violating a no contact order with his former girlfriend.

Michael Lohan, 51, was arrested Thursday in Tampa, Fla., on charges of violating a domestic violence injunction and a pretrial release order forbidding him to contact his former girlfriend Kate Major, The St. Petersburg (Fla.) Times reported.

Police say Lohan called Major several times, disregarding a judge's orders less than 24 hours earlier to have no contact with the woman after a domestic violence charge Tuesday.

Lohan's attorney, Michael Perry, claimed that Major called Lohan first and the person who called her back was Lohan's assistant.

"Mrs. Major induced the whole thing," he said at the Saturday bond hearing.

"Everything is completely false what [Perry] has said," said Major, who attended the bond hearing.

"He sounded completely intoxicated," she said. "I told the police, 'If he is drinking, he might have cocaine on him. Because he can't drink without cocaine.'"

Lohan is scheduled to appear on the reality television show "Celebrity Rehab" this coming week, as well as attend daughter Lindsay Lohan's court date and promote a charity boxing event, Perry said.

Hillsborough County circuit Judge Denise Pomponio denied bail for the man, saying, "Honestly, I'm not concerned about events. That's the least of what I'm worried about, Dr. Drew and 'Celebrity Rehab.'"
