LONDON, Oct. 24 (UPI) -- Singer Adele was named best female artist and her song "Rolling in the Deep" was named best track Monday by the music magazine Q at a ceremony in London.
The singer was unable to attend due to illness so the awards were handed to producer Paul Epworth, the music magazine said.
Coldplay was voted best act in the world, while readers voted U2 the greatest act of the last 25 years in a special award to mark Q's birthday, the magazine said in a release.
Bon Iver was honored for best album, Ed Sheeran was named breakthrough artist and Biffy Clyro was named best live act. Q best male artist honors went to Tinie Tempah.
Former Oasis guitarist Noel Gallagher was named a Q icon and the band Queen joined the Q hall of fame.
U2's Bono, The Edge, Adam Clayton and Larry Mullen, Jr., were all in attendance at the event in the Grosvenor House Hotel, U2.com reported.
Bono said the award for the greatest act of the last 25 years was "humbling."
"If the Clash were up here, we'd be carrying their gear," he said.
