Judge revokes Lohan's probation

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 19 (UPI) -- Actress Lindsay Lohan was handcuffed and held briefly on $100,000 bail Wednesday after a Los Angeles judge revoked the former child star's probation.

Judge Stephanie Sautner said Lohan's firing from her community service at the Downtown Women's Center violated the terms of her probation and said Lohan will not get credit for time she has spent volunteering with the Red Cross, E! News reported.

"No one has the power to change my sentence," Sautner said. "Not the volunteer center and not probation. She is not getting credit for any time at the American Red Cross."

Lohan was immediately handcuffed despite her attorney's request that Lohan not be cuffed in open court. She posted bail in less than an hour and was released from custody.

The judge ordered Lohan to return to court Nov. 2.

"Lindsay is hoping this matter will be resolved on Nov. 2 and the court will reinstate probation and allow her to continue fulfilling her community service," Lohan representative Steve Honig said in a statement to E! News.

Lohan pleaded guilty in May to stealing a necklace from a jewelry store in Venice, Calif.
