ZSA ZSA GABOR: Actress Zsa Zsa Gabor will need surgery to reattach a tube in her stomach, family members in Los Angeles said.

Gabor, 94, was taken to UCLA Ronald Reagan Medical Center late Saturday with internal bleeding and was being treated with antibiotics in preparation for an operation and was listed in critical condition.

"She's a big fighter," said Gabor's husband, Prince Frederic von Anhalt. "I always feel optimistic, because I know her."

Doctors were also expressing "guarded optimism" about Gabor, her publicist told the Los Angeles Times.

Gabor has been struggling with multiple health issues in recent years. She has been unable to walk since a 2002 car accident and she under went a leg amputation and hip replacement surgery in the last year, CNN said Sunday.

Gabor is one of three jet-setting, Hungarian-born sisters who appeared in television and movies in the 1950s and '60s. Zsa Zsa appeared in "Touch of Evil" and "Moulin Rouge" among other feature films.

SHIRLEY MACLAINE: The American Film Institute has announced it will present actress and filmmaker Shirley MacLaine will its 40th AFI Life Achievement Award.

MacLaine, 77, will receive the award at a black-tie gala June 7 in Los Angeles. The ceremony is to air on TV Land later in June.

"Shirley MacLaine is a powerhouse of personality that has illuminated screens large and small across six decades," Howard Stringer, chairman of the American Film Institute's Board of Trustees, said in a statement Sunday. "From ingenue to screen legend, Shirley has entertained a global audience through song, dance, laughter and tears, and her career as writer, director and producer is even further evidence of her passion for the art form and her seemingly boundless talents. There is only one Shirley MacLaine, and it is AFI's honor to present her with its 40th Life Achievement Award."

MacLaine's film credits include "The Apartment," "The Turning Point," "Terms of Endearment," "Steel Magnolias" and "Guarding Tess."

JENNIFER HUDSON: U.S. recording star Jennifer Hudson says she dropped out of the weekend's Michael Jackson tribute concert in Wales because of "major production issues."

The "Michael Forever" show at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium Saturday night featured live performances by Christina Aguilera, Leona Lewis, Smokey Robinson, Gladys Knight and Cee-Lo Green, as well as a video appearance by pregnant pop singer Beyonce.

Hudson was also scheduled to take the stage, but canceled at the last minute, announcing the change in plans via Twitter Saturday afternoon, The Hollywood Reporter said.

"To my UK fans that were coming to the MJ show in Wales: I will no longer be attending due to major production issues," Hudson said. "I would have thought they [the show's producers] would have informed you all by now, so since they did not, I am. Thank u for your support."

She did not specify what the production issues were.

KIRSTEN DUNST: American actress Kirsten Dunst says she has obtained dual U.S.-German citizenship and has her eye on living in Berlin.

Dunst, 29, said her new status will make it easier to work on European film productions, and also brings her closer to her ancestral roots.

People said Sunday that Dunst is the offspring of a German father and Swedish mom who frequently visits family in Hamburg and speaks a bit of German.

But Hamburg may be a little too quiet for the 29-year-old star. "I would prefer to buy an apartment in Berlin," she told the German newspaper B.Z. "It's such a young city, and right now so much is happening in Berlin."
