LOS ANGELES, Sept. 17 (UPI) -- Actor Rob Lowe has been volunteering with a Southern California dog-rescue program, sources told TMZ.com.

Lowe and his son, Matthew, and his brother, Chad, have been putting in time with OneDogRescue.com, an organization that takes care of abandoned "special needs" canines and finds them homes.
