STEVE LANDESBERG: U.S. actor Steve Landesberg, a star of the 1970s and '80s police comedy "Barney Miller," has died after a long battle with cancer, his agent said. He was 65.

"I'm sorry to report the loss of Steve," Landesberg's agent Jeffrey Leavitt told The Hollywood Reporter Monday.

The type of cancer the actor had died from Friday was not specified.

The New York native also appeared on TV's "Head Case," "Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law," "Cosby," "The Golden Girls," "Everybody Hates Chris" and "Seinfeld." He had a role in the recent big-screen comedy "Forgetting Sarah Marshall," the entertainment industry trade newspaper said.


TRACY MORGAN: U.S. comedian Tracy Morgan has undergone a kidney transplant and may miss at least two episodes of his sitcom "30 Rock" while he recovers, his publicist said.

The operation performed around Dec. 10 was successful, EW.com reported Monday.

"Tracy is doing well and taking some much needed time to recover after the surgery. He is looking forward to going back to work after the holidays," said a statement issued to the entertainment news Web site by Morgan's publicist.

The 42-year-old "Saturday Night Live" alum is diabetic.


DENISE RICHARDS: U.S. actress Denise Richards says she is taking her romantic relationship with Motley Crue rocker Nikki Sixx "very slowly."

Richards, 39, was previously married to actor Charlie Sheen. They have two young daughters.

Sixx, 52, is divorced from Playboy Playmates Brandi Brandt and Donna D'Errico. He has four children from the two previous marriages.

Richards said in an interview for Bravo's "Watch What Happens: Live" that she has "gone on a couple dates" with Sixx, UsMagazine.com reported Monday.

"If anything's going to develop, you want it to develop on its own," she said. "That's the God's honest truth. We're taking it very slowly."


VINCE VAUGHN: Kyla Weber, the wife of Hollywood actor Vince Vaughn, has given birth to their first child, a daughter they named Locklyn, a family friend told People.com.

The movie star and the real-estate agent married last January.

Born Saturday in Vaughn's hometown of Chicago, the couple's daughter weighed in at 7 pounds and measured 20 inches long.

"Both of them couldn't be happier to welcome their sweet little girl into their family!" an unidentified friend told People.com.

Vaughn's film credits include "Couples Retreat," "Old School" and "Swingers."
