Alcohol content of Lohan's tea downplayed

HOLLYWOOD, June 19 (UPI) -- The creator of a special tea favored by U.S. actress Lindsay Lohan says he doubts it has enough alcohol to set off her court-ordered booze-detecting bracelet.

Lohan has been known to savor Kombucha, a beverage that includes a small amount of alcohol, which may or may not be enough to trigger a SCRAM device such as the one Lohan was ordered to wear after a spate of alcohol-related scrapes with the law.

The man behind Kombucha, known as GT Dave, told TMZ.com that he thought it was "highly unlikely" there was enough alcohol in the tea to be detected by a SCRAM bracelet.

GT Dave admitted he didn't know how sensitive a SCRAM is. TMZ.com said Lohan would probably have to drink a lot of Kombucha to get a rise out of the monitor.
