B'way's 'Tenor' set to close in August

NEW YORK, May 21 (UPI) -- The limited Broadway engagement of Ken Ludwig's "Lend Me a Tenor" is scheduled to close in August, the stage comedy's representatives said Friday.

Starring Anthony LaPaglia, Tony Shalhoub and Justin Bartha, the play is slated to end its run at Manhattan's Music Box Theatre Aug. 15 at the end of the actors' contracts.

However, an extension through Sept. 6 is under discussion and subject to the actors' schedules, the show's representatives said.

"Tenor" opened April 4.
