LOS ANGELES, Sept. 22 (UPI) -- Fox says it has ordered a full season of the high school-set U.S. comedy series "Glee."

"It's fantastic to be the first show picked up (this season) and that this underdog series, like its characters, will get the chance to keep singing. There are so many more stories to tell," series creator Ryan Murphy said in a statement to The Los Angeles Times Monday.

Fox President of Entertainment Kevin Reilly called the response to "Glee" "remarkable."

"I've seen all 13 episodes and ... they've knocked our socks off," The Times quoted him as saying.
