LOS ANGELES, Sept. 13 (UPI) -- "Little Dorrit," the PBS adaptation of author Charles Dickens' novel of the same name, won four awards at the 2009 Creative Arts Emmy Awards in Los Angeles.
The Hollywood Reporter said the "Dorrit" adaptation from screenwriter Andrew Davies earned a Best Costumes for a Movie, Miniseries or a Special award Saturday, along with honors for cinematography and casting. The adaptation also received a best direction award.
Other big winners on Saturday night were "Saturday Night Live" comedian Tina Fey, who earned a best comedy actress award for her role of "Sarah Palin" on the show, and singer Justin Timberlake who received guest actor in a comedy series kudos for hosting the NBC show.
Ellen Burstyn was honored for her guest appearance on NBC's "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" with a guest actress in a dramatic series award, while Michael J. Fox took home the actor equivalent for his role on "Rescue Me."
"American Idol" earned three Emmys on the night, while canceled series "Pushing Daisies" took home four and HBO's "Generation Kill" and "Grey Gardens" each earned three.
The Reporter said the awards ceremony, which was hosted by comedian Kathy Griffin, will air on Friday.
