Cab clips fan-fleeing Pattinson
NEW YORK, June 19 (UPI) -- British actor Robert Pattinson was clipped by a taxi, but not seriously hurt, as he fled a mob of young female fans in New York Thursday.
RadarOnline said the incident took place in front of Manhattan's Strand Bookstore with the cab driver slamming on his brakes, but not before grazing the heartthrob's hip.
"You see what you did, you almost killed him!" the entertainment news Web site quoted a bodyguard as telling Pattinson's pursuers.
The 23-year-old "Twilight" star reportedly has been in town this week filming scenes for his new movie "Remember Me."
Report: Jon and Kate to announce divorce
NEW YORK, June 19 (UPI) -- An ad for "Jon & Kate Plus 8" says Jon and Kate Gosselin are set to make an announcement on next week's hourlong installment of their U.S. reality show.
The parents of twins and sextuplets reportedly spent their recent 10th wedding anniversary apart and have been dogged for weeks by speculation they are headed for divorce, as they have rarely appeared together on-screen this season.
"Recently we've made some life-changing decisions," Usmagazine.com quoted Kate as saying in a voice-over for the 30-second spot promoting Monday's episode of the TLC series. "Decisions that will affect every member of our family ... ones that we hope will bring each of us some peace."
RadarOnline.com Thursday cited an unnamed source as saying the couple plan to announce Monday they are divorcing.
The insider told the entertainment news Web site Kate has already met with a divorce lawyer.
Jon is expected to file divorce papers next week, RadarOnline.com said.
Rep: Locklear and Wagner not set to wed
LOS ANGELES, June 19 (UPI) -- Heather Locklear's publicist said the U.S. television actress isn't engaged to actor Jack Wagner, contrary to rumors suggesting she is.
Locklear and Wagner, who appeared together on the 1990s television series "Melrose Place," have been dating for about two years.
Locklear was previously married to Bon Jovi rocker Richie Sambora and Wagner to soap opera actress Kristina Malandro.
Usmagazine.com said speculation Locklear and Wagner are making wedding plans started after the actress was seen wearing a diamond on her ring finger.
However, Locklear's representative insisted to the magazine, "She is not engaged."
Heigl to return to 'Grey's' next season
LOS ANGELES, June 19 (UPI) -- Katherine Heigl will return to the U.S. hospital drama "Grey's Anatomy" next season, sources told The Hollywood Reporter.
Heigl's future on the show had been in question because her character, Izzie, was gravely ill in last month's Season 5 finale.
Media reports suggesting there was tension between Heigl and the show's writing/producing team fueled speculation regarding the possibility of Izzie's death and Heigl's exit from the ABC series.
Meanwhile, T.R. Knight, whose character Dr. George O'Malley was hit by a bus at the end of last season, will not be returning to the show for Season 6, The Hollywood Reporter said.
The entertainment industry trade newspaper said ABC declined to comment on the casting news.
