Air date set for Cusack's 'Acceptance'

LOS ANGELES, June 12 (UPI) -- The U.S. television movie adaptation of Susan Coll's "Acceptance: A Novel" is set to air Aug. 22 on Lifetime Television, the network announced.

The small-screen comedy about the pressures of today's college admissions process stars Joan Cusack and Mae Whitman.

Cusack is best known for her roles in the films "Say Anything," "Working Girl" and "In & Out."

Whitman has appeared on TV's "Arrested Development," and in the movies "Independence Day," "One Fine Day" and "Hope Floats."
