"Carson Daly and (producer) David Friedman have made 'Last Call' the place for people to experience late-night television in a different and exciting way," Ludwin and Bernstein said in a statement. "We're elated to have them continue to be part of our outstanding late-night lineup."

"I really feel grateful. Being able to continue my show with NBC for its ninth season is just incredible," added Daly. "I'm also excited to showcase our unique format. With the new late night lineup coming to NBC, we're a great fit, but also very distinct -- and I hope refreshing -- to viewers up that late."

Following the new mantra -- "no desk, no ties, no rules" -- "Last Call" will continue to shoot at various locations around the Los Angeles area, which allows the audience to experience each guest in a unique and intimate setting, NBC said.
