Depeche Mode frontman hospitalized

ATHENS, Greece, May 13 (UPI) -- Depeche Mode frontman Dave Gahan has been hospitalized for an undisclosed illness, forcing his bandmates to cancel a gig in Greece, concert organizers said.

The British rockers were scheduled to perform Tuesday night in Athens.

"We regret today's performance has to be canceled. David Gahan fell ill in his dressing room," E! News reported a concert organizer told the audience of about 20,000 Tuesday.

It is unclear whether the band will keep its date to perform in Istanbul Thursday, E! said.
