LONDON, April 28 (UPI) -- U.S. actress Linda Evans was declared the winner of the British TV cooking competition series "Hell's Kitchen."
Evans, 66, is best known for her work on the the 1960s Western "The Big Valley" and the 1980s nighttime soap "Dynasty."
The BBC said Evans beat out comedian Adrian Edmondson in Monday night's live finale.
The two finalists were challenged to prepare lunch for chefs Marco Pierre White and Raymond Blanc.
"It was nerve-wracking cooking for Raymond Blanc, because, you know, he's Raymond Blanc," the BBC quoted Edmondson as saying. "It's a bit like being at school and going to see the headmaster and showing him your work."
Evans covered her mouth in disbelief upon hearing she had won the competition, the British broadcaster said.
