Dillane, Martin take top TV BAFTAs

LONDON, April 27 (UPI) -- Stephen Dillane and Anna Maxwell Martin won the best actor and actress masks at the British Academy Television Awards in London Sunday.

Dillane won the award for his work in "The Shooting of Thomas Hurndall" and Martin took home the prize for her performance in "Poppy Shakespeare."

Harry Hill picked up the BAFTA for entertainment performance for "Harry Hill's TV Burp" and David Mitchell earned the gong for comedy performance for "Peep Show."

"White Girl" won the award for single drama and "Wallander" was named best drama series, "Criminal Justice" best drama serial and "The Bill" best continuing drama.

The U.S. drama series "Mad Men" picked up the mask for international program and "Amazon with Bruce Parry" won the trophy for factual series.

"X Factor" won the BAFTA for entertainment program, "Harry and Paul" the mask for comedy program and "The IT Crowd" the trophy for situation comedy.
