MUMBAI, April 27 (UPI) -- Bollywood actor and filmmaker Feroz Khan died of cancer Monday at his home in India's Karnataka region. He was 69.
The BBC said a funeral for Khan, who battled the disease for a year, will be held in Bangalore. The British broadcaster did not say when the service would take place.
Khan was an actor, producer and director who appeared in more than 50 films. He made his big-screen debut in 1960 with a role in "Didi" and is perhaps best known for his 1980 movie "Qurbani." His other hits include "Dharmatma," "Jaanbaaz" and "Dayavan." His final film role was in 2007's "Welcome."
He is survived by his son Fardeen Khan, who is also a Bollywood actor, as well as a model, the BBC said.
