LAS VEGAS, April 25 (UPI) -- U.S. actress Kelly Monaco was forced to hide behind her bed in her Las Vegas penthouse when a burglar began searching the home, sources say.
The sources, whose identities were not reported, said Monaco, 32, began hiding after hearing an intruder rummaging through her Planet Hollywood penthouse's living room Thursday night, TMZ.com reported Saturday.
The "General Hospital" actress never encountered the unidentified thief during the incident as the individual left the penthouse without ever entering Monaco's bedroom, the sources said.
After finding her penthouse in disarray, Monaco contacted police and filed a burglary report. Details regarding what, if anything, was stolen were not available.
Monaco, who won the first season of "Dancing with the Stars," is currently performing with singer Mel B in "Peepshow" at Planet Hollywood, TMZ.com said.
