"I'm thrilled to be doing this for Comedy Central. The last time I was roasted I was half of a two-for-one special: Joan of Arc and me," Rivers, 75, said in a statement.

"Joan Rivers is a comedic genius who has proven that she can take it as hard as she gives it," added Comedy Central's Elizabeth Porter. "She's such a lovely person, but when she takes aim, no one is going to be spared. It should be a crazy night."

Rivers is currently appearing on NBC's "Celebrity Apprentice" and celebrating the publication of her two new books -- "Men Are Stupid and They Like Big Boobs" and "Murder at the Academy Awards."
