CHICAGO, March 20 (UPI) -- "The Dark Knight" director Christopher Nolan's older brother, Matthew Francis Nolan, has been arrested in Chicago on murder and kidnapping charges.
The FBI's Chicago office told E! News the suspect was apprehended by the bureau's Violent Crimes Task Force and was being held without bond as he awaited extradition to Costa Rica.
Matthew Francis Nolan was charged with the alleged kidnapping and murder of Florida businessman Robert Cohen in Costa Rica in 2005. Cohen's death was the result of a scam Nolan allegedly orchestrated in hopes of recouping $7 million Cohen is said to have owed another Florida man, investigators told E! News.
An alleged accomplice has already been convicted of kidnapping and murder.
Christopher Nolan co-wrote and directed "Batman Begins" and wrote and directed "Memento."
