A.D. Miles named 'Fallon' head writer

NEW YORK, Feb. 17 (UPI) -- U.S. stand-up comedian and actor A.D. Miles has been hired as the head writer for "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon," NBC announced Tuesday.

The new late-night talk show is set to premiere March 2.

Miles has written and directed a number of short films, and appeared on Comedy Central's "Dog Bites Man" and in the drama series "Law & Order: Criminal Intent."

He has also had roles in the films "Bamboozled," "The Believer," "Wet Hot American Summer," "Thirteen Conversations About One Thing," "Uptown Girls," "The Baxter," "The Ten" and "Role Models."
