LOS ANGELES, Feb. 8 (UPI) -- A lawyer for the estate of the late U.S. author Mario Puzo, who wrote "The Godfather," has settled a lawsuit over a computer game named after the novel.
Puzo estate lawyer Bert Fields said the terms of the settlement with Paramount Pictures were similar to a previous dispute resolution between the two sides, Sky News reported Saturday. However, details were not revealed.
The lawsuit filed in Los Angeles Superior Court last June alleged Paramount failed to compensate Puzo's estate for the 2006 computer game, which is loosely based on the 1972 movie that follows Puzo's 1969 literary creation.
The British broadcaster noted Puzo, who died in 1999, worked with "Godfather" director Francis Ford Coppola to adapt his book for the big screen.
