LOS ANGELES, Dec. 24 (UPI) -- Primary Wave Publishing's Larry Mestel has announced the signings of three original members of the 1970s supergroup, Chicago, to a strategic partnership.
It marks the first time Robert Lamm, Lee Loughnane and James Pankow have been with a single publisher, which will market their songs commercially, Daily Variety reports.
The three hold claim to many of the band's hits of the 1970s, including "Saturday in the Park," "Beginnings," "Make Me Smile" and "Colour My World," among others, Variety noted.
Mestel, the chairman and CEO of Primary Wave, cited the "enormous amount of opportunity" to commercially market the hits.
"Nobody has done a significant push," he told Variety.
Loughnane released a statement saying: "We are confident this partnership will take Chicago to new heights."
