Amy Poehler bids adieu to 'SNL'

NEW YORK, Dec. 15 (UPI) -- Amy Poehler has taped her last show as a "Saturday Night Live" cast member in New York.

Poehler, who had been on maternity leave the previous two weeks after giving birth to her son Archie, made her last appearance on the show Saturday night, E! News noted.

"This is my last show," she said following the "Weekend Update" segment of the show. "Being able to do over 140 shows with my friends and my family has been a dream come true. I just wanted to say good-bye. I love you and I will miss all of you very much."

Poehler is to star in a new NBC comedy series scheduled to debut next year.
