Screen star Van Johnson dead at 92

NYACK, N.Y., Dec. 12 (UPI) -- Hollywood screen star Van Johnson died Friday of natural causes at the age of 92 in Nyack, N.Y., his representative said.

The Journal News of New York's Lower Hudson Valley said on its Web site the famous U.S. actor had been living at Tappan Zee Manor, a home for seniors in Nyack, for the last six years.

Johnson, a native of Rhode Island, starred in more than 100 film, stage and television productions throughout his distinguished career.

Among his most memorable films were "Thirty Seconds Over Tokyo," "The Caine Mutiny," "Brigadoon," "The Last Time I Saw Paris," "Divorce American Style" and "The End of the Affair."
