'Four Christmases' stays No. 1

LOS ANGELES, Dec. 8 (UPI) -- "Four Christmases" was No. 1 in U.S. theaters for the second week in a row, numbers from Box Office Mojo showed Sunday.

The comedy, with a star-studded cast that includes Vince Vaughn and Reese Witherspoon, had gross estimated sales of $18.18 million for a two-week total of $70.8 million.

Last week's No. 2 and 3 movies swapped places this weekend, with "Twilight" moving up with $13.2 million in ticket sales and "Bolt" slipping to $9.7 million.

Next up were "Australia" at $7 million, "Quantum of Solace" at $6.6 million, "Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa" at $5.1 million and "Transporter 3" at $4.5 million.

Two new offerings poked in at Nos. 8-9 -- "Punisher: War Zone," an action thriller starring Ray Stevenson and Dominic West, with $4 million in gate receipts; and "Cadillac Records," a music industry drama starring Adrien Brody, Jeffrey Wright and Gabrielle Union, with $3.5 million.

Completing the Top 10 was "Role Models" at $2.62 million.

Dropping out of the top tier were "Milk" and "The Boy in the Striped Pajamas."
