LOS ANGELES, Nov. 29 (UPI) -- Former Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker, who nearly died in a South Carolina airplane crash, has offered online thanks to his many supporters.

The rocker said in blog message during the Thanksgiving holiday that he was thankful for everything he had in life and for all those who supported him after he was involved in the Sept. 19 airplane crash that claimed four lives, People magazine said Friday.

"I wanted to say thanks ... and share my gratitude for everything I've been blessed with," Barker said. "Family, friends, and continued support from everyone. Thank you for life, and all the little ups and downs that make it worth living. My best to everyone."

Barker has filed a lawsuit regarding the airplane crash near Columbia, S.C., People said.

The rocker, along with disc jockey Adam "DJ AM" Goldstein, suffered severe burns in the crash.
