Online radio station dedicated to Obama

SAN DIEGO, Oct. 25 (UPI) -- Democratic U.S. presidential nominee Barack Obama has eclectic taste in music, the offerings on a new supportive online radio station indicate.

The Los Angeles Times said Friday among the initial musical offerings on a new Slacker.com radio station dedicated to the presidential hopeful were songs from diverse artists like U2, Nina Simone, Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, Elton John, Aretha Franklin, Marvin Gaye and Stevie Wonder.

The unidentified individuals behind the new station on the online music service chose all the featured songs from Obama's prior speeches and his ongoing campaign efforts.

The Times said the new radio station also featured samples of the Illinois senator's various writings and interviews.
