ROME, Oct. 20 (UPI) -- Hollywood screen icon Al Pacino's movie "Chinese Coffee" is scheduled to open the 3rd annual Rome International Film Festival, organizers said.
Pacino directed and stars in the movie. His previous film credits include the "Godfather" trilogy, "Scarface," "Dog Day Afternoon," "Serpico," "Heat" and "Scent of a Woman."
He finished "Coffee" in 2000 and it has screened on the film fest circuit, but never been released commercially.
It is to get its Italian premiere Wednesday, the first night of the Rome film festival.
ANSA said Pacino will also be presented with one Marcus Aurelius award for career achievement and another on behalf of the New York Actors Studio.
Actress Gina Lollobrigida is also expected to pick up a Marcus Aurelius award for her contributions to the film industry during the festivities.
The lineup for the festival, which is to run through Oct. 31, includes dozens of Italian and international movies, including "L'Uomo che Ama," "Il Passato E' Una Terra Straniera" and "L'ultimo Pulcinella," ANSA said.
