LONDON, Oct. 18 (UPI) -- U.S. pop star Madonna has agreed to give her husband, director Guy Ritchie, nearly $104 million in cash and property as part of their divorce, a source says.
The unidentified source said both sides quickly agreed to the financial settlement that will help end the couple's eight-year marriage, The Times of London reported Friday.
"The negotiations were relatively painless. Guy knew what he wanted and Madonna knew what she was keen to keep her hands on," the source said. "There was a time when Guy was in a mood to dig his heels in. With time to think, he decided that this arrangement seemed reasonable and a long battle over money would be unbearable."
The report of divorce settlement comes as Ritchie's father, John, lashed out at Madonna for calling his son names at a Boston concert last week.
The Daily Telegraph said the 78-year-old father called the "Music" star "beastly" when referring to her public attack on his son.
"She is being beastly. She's calling him an emotional retard," the elder Ritchie said. "When he's being bashed by her it's horrid."
