Nelly Furtado weds sound engineer

TORONTO, Oct. 17 (UPI) -- British Columbia-born recording artist Nelly Furtado said she has married her sound engineer beau Demacio "Demo" Castellon.

Best known for her songs "I'm Like a Bird," "Promiscuous," "Maneater" and "Say It Right," Furtado told "Entertainment Tonight Canada" her wedding took place July 19.

"It's a nice phase of my life," the 29-year-old singer-songwriter-producer told "ET Canada."

No other details about the nuptials were given in the report.

The couple previously collaborated on Furtado's 2006 album "Loose."
