LONDON, Oct. 9 (UPI) -- British pop star Leona Lewis declined a $1.7 million offer to open a Harrods sale because the famed department store sells fur, The Times of London reported.
Lewis, a winner of the television talent show "The X Factor," recently was voted the "world's sexiest vegetarian."
"I'm totally against animal cruelty. I don't have clothes, shoes or bags made from any animal products," The Times quoted Lewis, 23, as saying.
The newspaper said Harrods did not wish to comment on its report that Lewis turned down the special appearance because she is opposed to the store selling fur products.
