Queen Latifah to play Ifill on 'SNL'

NEW YORK, Oct. 3 (UPI) -- Queen Latifah has agreed to play PBS journalist and U.S. vice presidential debate moderator Gwen Ifill on "Saturday Night Live," TMZ reported Friday.

The actress and singer is to play Ifill on this week's episode of the sketch comedy show, which also will feature Fey's third appearance as Alaska governor and Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, the entertainment news Web site said.

Latifah has recently been busy promoting her new film "The Secret Lives of Bees."
