LOS ANGELES, Sept. 1 (UPI) -- U.S. recording artist Beyonce Knowles said on "The Early Show" she is incredibly proud of her sister Solange's success in the music industry.

Solange Knowles recently released her second album, "Sol-Angel and the Hadley Street Dreams."

"It brings me to tears when I watch her," Beyonce Knowles said of her sister on the CBS morning chat show last week. "She's grown up so much, and she's like my baby. And she's such an incredible songwriter, so creative and she's not afraid to be an individual and to speak her mind. She had that star quality and that big presence even at five."

"Early Show" co-anchor Maggie Rodriguez later asked Tina Knowles what her daughters were like growing up.

"Making up dance routines," Tina Knowles said.

"All the time. Harmonizing," Beyonce Knowles chimed in.

"Putting on shows and making my guests pay to see them. They didn't want to watch them in the first place," Tina Knowles recalled. "They paid but because they harassed them, but they didn't even want to see it in the first place. And then they had to pay on top of it. ... Nobody wanted to come to my house."
