SAO PAULO, July 31 (UPI) -- Gilberto Gil, Brazil's Minister of Culture, has announced he is giving up his political post to concentrate on his music career.
The BBC quoted the 66-year-old singer, composer and guitarist as saying he was having trouble juggling two such demanding careers. He also reportedly said his frequent speaking engagements are affecting his singing ability.
