LOS ANGELES, June 30 (UPI) -- Pop star Britney Spears had an overnight visit with her two young sons at her Los Angeles home during the weekend, a source told E! Online.

Spears's ex-husband Kevin Federline has temporary legal and physical custody of their sons -- 2-year-old Sean Preston and 20-month-old Jayden James -- while Spears has had only monitored visits with the toddlers in recent months.

While a change to their custody arrangement was recently made, it has not been made public.

E! Online said Spears had her first overnight visit with her children since January while Federline partied in Miami Beach this past weekend.

"The kids were picked up before noon on Sunday," a source told the entertainment news Web site.
