LONDON, June 28 (UPI) -- British singer Elton John says he's happy with the success of his White Tie & Tiara Ball, which drew scores of celebrities and jewel-laden notables.

Chopard Co-President Caroline Gruosi-Scheufele attended the lavish ball in the British village of Old Windsor with a 180-carat sapphire, partially outshining celebrity guests such as singer Natalie Imbruglia and Hollywood star Will Smith, The Daily Telegraph reported Friday.

Also in attendance at Thursday's event at the "Tiny Dancer" singer's home in Berkshire County were U.S. actor Denzel Washington, former U.S. President Bill Clinton and model Naomi Campbell.

BritArt star Mark Quinn's wife Georgia also used the 10th annual event to show off a strawberry coated in gold and laced with 500 diamonds, the Telegraph said.

Following the event's auction, John told the newspaper he was very pleased with the nearly $20 million raised for the Elton John Aids Foundation.

"I can die a very happy man," John said.
